Responsibilities:
Responsible for the total architecture of the BI environment; design,performance,availability,and success, also responsible for both logical and physical high level data modeling throughout the DWH landscape. Responsible for developing & maintaining the BI Architectural guiding principles & best practices and you have to stay abreast of new BI technologies and evaluate these.
Participate in BI project reviews to ensure these are in line with BI Architectural guidelines. Acts as expert consultant & provide hands-on design, development & implementation support.
Partner with project teams to define deliverables, work breakdown and effort/delivery timelines.
Work with business analyst(s) to understand informational & analytical requirements as well as source system data structures.
Work with data modelers and ETL architect to understand design of target environment data structures.
Play an active rol in further developing the technical BI knowledge within the team.
A few deliverables:
- Define a roadmap/design for the new BI Architecture ensuring flexibility, scalability, offshore development/support capabilities and strong principles of usability and performance.
- Develop architecture strandards for future code design & development.
The Sr. BI Architect will play a lead role in delivering innovating BI Solutions to the business. He/she
will be responsible for the oversight, architecture, design & development of all BI initiatives.
Objective is to develop and implement a robust, flexible and cost efficient BI solutuion landscape.
